It’s time for WWW Wednesday, a meme hosted by Sam at Taking On A World Of Words.

You just have to answer three questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you will read next?

**

I still have not been reading as much as normal, but I’m getting there!

What am I currently reading?

I am still listening to Émile Zola’s Thérèse Raquin, narrated by Kate Winslet. It is such a dark unpleasant tale! I am getting to the end of it with just three chapters to go now. I am still loving Kate’s narration.

I am reading To The Promised Land: Martin Luther King and the Fight for Economic Justice by Michael K Honey. I am finding it very interesting. I once did a talk on Martin Luther King in high school and he is a figure that I have admired for a long time, so when the chance came up to request this book on NetGalley, I took it with both hands. The book is out next week. There is so much I did not know about the fight for desegregation and racism in the US.

FInally, I have just started The Fires of Heaven, the fifth book in Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time series. This is a re-read and I feel like it’s just what I need at the moment. A bit of epic fantasy and a story to get lost in.

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished two books in the past week, so that’s not too bad at all. Both were 6-star books for me.

I loved The Otters’ Tale, which was a wonderful mixture of fiction and non-fiction. I enjoyed following an otter’s life full circle. And don’t just love that cute cover?

I also read Portrait of a Murderer by Anne Meredith, which is a crime story set at Christmas written in the 1930s. It was so well written and I absolutely loved it! Definitely one to put on your ‘books to read for Christmas’ list in my opinion!

What do you think you will read next?

My next non-fiction book will be Times New Roman, by Martha Miller. I have read the first few pages and I know I will enjoy it! A book about moving to Italy? Yes please!

The other book that is next on my to-read list is A Different Kind of Lovely my Petra March.

Both of those are author requests, and both sound like really good reads. so I am looking forward to them!

What will you be reading? What are you reading? What have you been reading?
