WWW Wednesdays: 21 November 2018

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you will read next?

Hoffman, Alice - The Museum of Extraordinary ThingsWhat am I currently reading?

I am reading The Museum of Extraordinary Things by Alice Hoffman, as it was one of the books I had on my Kindle the longest. I am about 40% in and I am not loving it yet. It definitely has some bits that I am finding interesting, but I do not really like the feel of the writing.

What did I recently finish reading?

I finished reading Windbreak by Derek Alan Siddoway. That was the final book in the current Gryphon Riders trilogy. I enjoyed that series so much!

Since last week I also finished The Path of Daggers (Robert Jordan) and Seabiscuit (Laura Hillenbrand). Both were re-reads, but the latter is one of my favourite books I read this year. It was my first 7-star read this year I think. Am I too stingy with my 7-star ratings? All my 7-star ratings have been non-fiction… Erm….

What will I read next?

I will be starting The Horse Boy today or tomorrow, as for fiction, it will probably be The Raven Boys now I have finished one YA series.

  1. Sorry Museum of Extraordinary Things isn’t working for you. I have that on my TBR as it is a period of history I find fascinating, but I’ve never been quite sure if Alice Hoffman’s writing will really work for me.

    1. I do like the descriptions of the time period in this book. It is clearly well researched and it is definitely not a bad book. I am just not quite connecting with the writing 😦
