WWW Wednesdays: 28 November 2018

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you will read next?

People! I can’t believe November is coming to an end already. Autumn seems to be flying by, but I am looking forward to Christmas music and a Christmas tree to be honest to brighten up these darkest of days.

So for my last WWW of November:

What am I currently reading?

Isaacson, Rupert - The Horse BoyI am about 2/3 into The Horse Boy by Rupert Isaacson, which is a travel memoir of sorts of a trip he and his wife took with their autistic son to seek healing for him. I am enjoying it, but there is a part of me that struggles with the way the father talks about his autistic son. I have a couple of friends with autistic children and I know they would be horrified by some of the comments he makes. I am going to a gig next week with one of those mums and I would love to discuss this book with her.

Gaskell, Elizabeth - Wives and DaughtersI have also picked up Wives and Daughters by Elizabeth Gaskell again. I put it down last month after just over 200 pages. I was not much in the mood for it then and I felt I wanted to give it another go as I would like to end 2018 with a clean reading slate. At over 760 pages I need to get a move on!

What did I recently finish reading?Stiefvater, Maggie - The Raven Boys

I finished The Raven Boys yesterday, which I really enjoyed quite a bit! I am planning to continue the series in 2019 for sure!

What do I think I will read next?

Paulson, Gary - Winterdance      Johnson, Milly - A Winter Flame

Something from my Winter Project for sure! I will probably start with Winterdance as my non-fiction read and maybe A Winter Flame as a nice light read to ease into the darkest month of the year.

    1. Yeah I’m a bit the same with Classics lately… I am actually enjoying the story, but I seem to take ages reading it. When I feel I have read 20 pages, I have only read 5 😂

    1. I might have been the same if I had them! On the other hand, I do like to spread series out. I am planning to read the next one in January or February though!
