People! I can’t believe November is coming to an end already. Autumn seems to be flying by, but I am looking forward to Christmas music and a Christmas tree to be honest to brighten up these darkest of days.
So for my last WWW of November:
What am I currently reading?
I am about 2/3 into The Horse Boy by Rupert Isaacson, which is a travel memoir of sorts of a trip he and his wife took with their autistic son to seek healing for him. I am enjoying it, but there is a part of me that struggles with the way the father talks about his autistic son. I have a couple of friends with autistic children and I know they would be horrified by some of the comments he makes. I am going to a gig next week with one of those mums and I would love to discuss this book with her.
I have also picked up Wives and Daughters by Elizabeth Gaskell again. I put it down last month after just over 200 pages. I was not much in the mood for it then and I felt I wanted to give it another go as I would like to end 2018 with a clean reading slate. At over 760 pages I need to get a move on!
What did I recently finish reading?
I finished The Raven Boys yesterday, which I really enjoyed quite a bit! I am planning to continue the series in 2019 for sure!
