What am I currently reading?
I have started The Wrath and the Dawn this morning. I am just under 50 pages in and it is yet to enthrall me, but I am sure I will enjoy it! This book had been on my Kindle the longest, so I thought it was about time I read it.
I am also reading Winter: an Anthology for the Changing Seasons, which is edited by Melissa Harrison. I am just past halfway and I am loving this one! Most of the snippets of non-fiction stories are about 3 pages long at most, interspersed with some poetry and brief bits of fiction. For example I just read an bit from The Dubliners by James Joyce. This is so perfect for January (as it should be)! I have collected all the other seasons as well, so I will read them throughout the year. This is such a treat!
What did I recently finish reading?
I finished Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire last Wednesday. Then I went on to read White Stag (Kara Barbieri) followed by Longbourn (Jo Baker). That is a pretty good week for me. I enjoyed all of those books, though I still feel White Stag missed a trick or two.
What do I think I will read next?
I am pretty sure I will pick up The Snow Child (Eowyn Ivey) next. It is another book from my Winter Project.

I have been really enjoying reading wintery books recently. White Stag really fitted that wintery feel as well, as did Longbourn and Harry Potter in parts.
Show me your WWW!
Ooooo… White Stag and Longbourn are both on my TBR so I’ll have to check out your reviews!
WWW Wednesday
I like the sound of the Winter anthology. I can appreciate a book structured into smaller snippets. Makes for a good supplemental read that’s easy to pick up and put down at your leisure. Happy reading!

I thoroughly recommend it! (even if I have not finished it yet)
The Snow Child looks tempting. Thanks for sharing, and enjoy. Here’s MY WWW POST
The Snow Child is one of my favourite books, I have read it three times. Hope you enjoy it. Here’s my WWW – https://whisperingstories.com/www-wednesday-reading-9th-january-2019/
I hope I will love it too!
So many people are enjoying or re-enjoying Harry Potter this year (including me!) Is it a read or a re-read? Here is my WWW: https://silverbuttonbooks.com/2019/01/09/www-wednesday-january-9-2019/
It’s a re-read until the final two books. I have never read those before 🙂
I hope you enjoy them!! Truthfully, I loved them all but the 5th one was where I wasn’t sure I loved Harry, Ron and Hermoine quite as much. They were well written as being at an awkward and angry age that is for sure.
That cover of HP is so different! :O
I think it’s the UK ‘adult’ version
Ohhh I see! They are nice and there are so many versions! :O
