Kasasian, M R C - Betty Church and the Suffolk VampireWhat am I currently reading?

I am currently reading Betty Church and the Suffolk Vampire (M R C Kasasian) and have been since Saturday. My reading pace since the start of Feb has dropped right down. I am enjoying the read, but it does feel a bit messily put together to me. I have about 20% to go of the 430 odd pages. I like the humour, especially the sarcasm, but something about the writing does not quite click with me

What did I recently finish reading?

I finished reading Vogel (The Bird) by Oh Jung-hee on Friday. It is translated South Korean literary fiction and I did not really get on with it that well. I also read Robert Macfarlane’s 34-page essay The Gifts of Reading, which was delightful (I love that word!). It definitely reiterated to me that is worth reading small (or even tiny) books!

What do I think I will be reading next?

I am hoping to join in with a buddy read of The Hating Game by Sally Thorne, which is starting today. I hope to start reading it tomorrow. I have had it on my Kindle for a little while. I caught it on sale for 99p 🙂 After that I have The Dream Thieves (Maggie Stiefvater) or Siege and Storm (Leigh Bardugo)  as my ‘continue series’ book
