WWW Wednesdays: 20 February 2019

WWW Wednesdays is a meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.

What am I currently reading?

I am in a bit of a slump, so it’s a bit hit and miss at the moment. I am still reading Centaur by Declan Murphy and Ami Rao. I am over a third in and it is a really good read, but I am just not picking it up at the moment, which is ashame. I have a feeling that once I do pick it up again I will fly through it.

I picked up an Agatha Christie: The Clocks. I read 60 pages and I am liking it, but I was finding it hard to concentrate on it. Maybe it’s the small font or simply the story. Not sure.

I finally gave in and picked up a book that I knew I would love and that would be easier to read, which is The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater, book 2 in The Raven Cycle. I think it was the right choice as it reads away so much easier! I love those characters.

What did I recently finish reading?

I finished reading Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo, which is book 2 in the Grisha trilogy. I enjoyed it plenty enough, though I did not find it particularly amazing. I also finished Winter Princess by Skye MacKinnon, which is a paranormal romance book with a bit of smut thrown in. That one was a good time, but again, not amazing. I think overall I read so many good books last month and the books this month have just been not quite as good, which is causing me to feel a bit slumpy.

What do I think I will read next?

As I am a bit slumpy, I am happy to stick to mood reading. Since I am reading three books at the moment, I will see when I have finished those.
