Yep, it’s offcial. I am in the midst of an almighty reading slump!
Actually, I simply have not had that much time to read this past week and a bit. There is simply a lot going on and I do not have as much time to read as normal (unless you count listening to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in the car for my daughter’s benefit!).
I have stopped reading The Clocks by Agatha Christie for a bit. I was just not in the mood for it. I have read Centaur (Declan Murphy/Ami Rao) only sparingly, eventhough I am really fascinated by the story. Instead I have been reading The Dream Thieves, the second book in The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater. I am loving that one, but even then I have only been managing about 40 pages a day, which is way slow for me. However, I do find it easier to read that one than the other two at the moment.
Hence also why I have been a bit AWOL on this blog lately. It partly has to do with the fact that I just have a really busy few weeks and partly because I have been writing a bit and writing eats into my reading and blogging time bigtime. When I do have time, I am easily distracted, which does not help my enjoyment in reading at the moment.
Yesterday we were out all day and today we were on our family day out to the zoo (as chosen by my six-year-old). Tomorrow I am out all day as well, so that does not bode well!
Hopefully things will be calming down a bit in March and I will be back to normal, but for now, bear with me!
Lots of blogging love! xx
