It’s a dreary rainy day this Wednesday. It has not been a warm spring this year, but hopefully there is lots of good weather to come!

I am reading After You’d Gone by Maggie O’Farrell. I have about 75 pages left to go. I have really enjoyed this book. I like O’Farrell’s writing quite a bit, though the books jumps about in time and perspective just a tad too much. I wonder how the story will unfold in these final pages. I definitely plan to finish it today.
What did I recently finish reading?
Since last week I have finished The Raven King, which I loved quite a bit and I read a childhood favourite, The Black Stallion, which was quite the nostalgia trip for all the right reasons.
What do I think I will be reading next?
I am not entirely sure. I did not have much of a TBR for this month, apart from reading the three book I bought in June last year (one of which was After You’d Gone). I quite fancy reading some fantasy. I may well finally start reading some Brandon Sanderson. Maybe Elantris, which I have on my Kindle?
So far I’ve only read one book by Sanderson, Skyward, but I loved it so much I’m looking for more. Have you read many of his other books? I was thinking of picking up Elantris too but wasn’t sure it was the best one to go for next.
I have only read the Robert Jordan books he completed, so this will be my first proper Sanderson book. I’m excited!
Oh, man. It’s been forever since I read The Black Stallion! I read it for a summer book report eons ago. Like, back when you still had to chisel reports into rocks. I still need to read The Raven Cycles series. Glad to hear you liked The Raven King! I so highly recommend Elantris! It was the first adult fantasy Sanderson I had read (I read Steelheart before reading it), and I absolutely fell in love with his writing after Elantris.
Here’s my WWW post.
I have started Elantris and I am liking it so far! His writing feels pretty familiar, even if it is the first book by him I am reading – weird!
