WWW Wednesdays is a meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.

What am I currently reading?

I am currently reading The Summer of Impossible Things by Rowan Coleman. I am about 75 pages in and I am loving it. I love the writing and I really like the plot so far. It’s intriguing! I was going to read just this book, but it’s a hardback and I don’t like reading hardbacks at bedtime, so I picked another book for then. I spent ages two days ago perusing the paperbacks on my shelves. I wanted something that was different enough from my current read, but nothing too big and epic. In the end I picked up Riders by Veronica Rossi. I am only reading a chapter or so a day at the moment, so two chapters in I do not have that much to say about it! This was a cover buy last year and I still love the cover! What’s not to like about a fire horse?

What did I recently finish reading?

I finished three books since last week.

It took me ages to read Godsgrave. I liked it, but I was a bit disappointed in it. I missed the humour of Nevernight that I loved so much. I will read Darkdawn eventually, but probably not until it comes out in the paperback edition I want, which is next year some time. So yes, rating wise, not the best reading week (month)!

What do I plan on reading next?

The two books left on my August TBR are A Polar Affair (Lloyd Spender Davis) and Eucalyptus (Murray Bail).

Happy reading fellow WWW-ers!

  1. I can definitely see why Riders was a cover buy. Soon as I opened the page, I noticed how pretty it was! Fire = good. Horses = cool. So how can you go wrong with fire horses?! I’ve seen quite a few people say that Godsgrave wasn’t quite as good as Nevernight, which is a shame. I’m still looking forward to picking up the series, though. Happy reading!

    Here’s my WWW post.
