Another week has past. The weather has turned colder and a little rainy. I miss the sunshine already. Good thing most of spring and all of summer are still ahead.
My reading has been a little slow, but steady. I am not complaining 🙂

What am I currently reading?
I am in the home stretch of the final book of The Wheel of Time, which is A Memory of Light (Robert Jordan & Brandon Sanderson). This book is intense! It is taking me ages to read, eventhough it’s a re-read, but it is so good. As far as book climaxes go, this one is pretty epic. I have about 160 pages to go, which I hope to push on with today, as I am having a quiet day today.
On audio I am listening to Face It by Debbie Harry. Yes, she of Blondie. It is an interesting one, because both the writing and the delivery are pretty stilted, which makes it both more authentic and kind of annoying at times. I am about two hours in now.
Finally, I am reading another adult romance on my Kindle. I am still in a romance kind of mood and still struggling to find one I really love. However, I have started reading Sweet Thing by Renee Carlino. I am only 6% in, but so far I like it. We’ll see.
What did I recently finish reading?
I finally finished my audio book, which was The Return of the Native by Thomas Hardy. It was a bit of a slog, but I got there in the end! 4/7 stars for me. I also finished All The Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater. I really enjoyed that one. It was so woderfully weird! I gave that one 6 out of 7 stars. I DNFd Come Away With Me by Kristen Proby at 30%. This was another adult romance and it was trash. I should have DNFd it much sooner!
What do I think I will read next?
I may pick up On The Come Up by Angie Thomas. I will also be able to start a new fantasy series, so I may finally start the Hyddenworld series by William Horwood again or I may decide to concentrate on one of the series I am already in the middle of.
On the Come up is one of the books I’m planning to read soon too. Hope we both like it. Happy reading and have a great reading week, Lola.
Same!
I’m hoping to read On The Come Up some time soon too! And I’m definitely curious about All The Crooked Saints. I hope you will enjoy your books this week and happy reading. Here’s my WWW. xx
