20 Books of Summer

One summer.

Three months.

93 Days.

20 books.

Are you in?

20 books

This is a challenge hosted by Cathy at 746 Books and basically is designed to inspire you to read 20 books during the summer months, from 1 June until 1 September. Or less if 20 is too much. It could be 10 or 15, whatever number suits you.

You set a TBR, but you can swap out books at any time, which I like a lot!

I will try and read 20.

So here goes:

  1. Our Dark Duet (V E Schwab)
  2. How To Stop Time (Matt Haig)
  3. The Lost Flowers of Alice Heart (Holly Ringland)
  4. Good Omens (Neil Gaiman / Terry Pratchett)
  5. The Dinner (Herman Koch)
  6. English Animals (Laura Kaye)
  7. Feathers (Thor Hanson)
  8. Hamnet (Maggie O’Farrell)
  9. Queenie (Candy Carty-Williams)
  10. Saving Ruby King (Catherine Adel West)
  11. Drift (Claire Littlemore)
  12. Quell (Claire Littlemore)
  13. Tower of Thorns (Juliet Marillier)
  14. Den of Wolves (Juliet Marillier)
  15. Spring (William Horwood)
  16. Awakening (William Horwood)
  17. Wild Beauty (Anna-Marie McLemore)
  18. The Flatshare (Beth O’Leary)
  19. Deeplight (Frances Hardinge)
  20. Uncommon People (David Hepworth)

That’s it for now. All of these are subject to change, but I am pretty happy with this list. It has a bit of everything, but nothing too dark or heavy for summer reading! I am also hoping to finish some series and re-start one.

(I haven’t counted my two current reads, as I started them in May, but I might do in the end for winning’s sake! 😉  )

  1. What a fab list Lola! The Dinner and Hamnet are great and I love David Hepworth so look forward to hearing what you think of Uncommon People. Happy reading d

  2. I just love the gorgeous covers! Several are very tempting too. I must try to resist – or else change my own list to yours!

  3. I have Queenie on my tbr too, and I hope you enjoy The Flatshare, it’s a favorite book of mine. 😊
