WWW Wednesdays: 8 July 2020

This has been a really slow reading week to be honest. I have been far too interested in other things and I have been watching too much TV and YouTube. Oh well!

WWW Wednesdays’ home is at Sam’s blog Taking On A World of Words. Check it out!

The three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you will read next?

What am I currently reading?

I am halfway through Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel. It’s a dense read and it takes quite a bit of reading and combined with my difficulty concentrating on books, it makes things a bit slow, but that’s ok. I don’t mind. It’s good though. Very different type of book from what I have been reading recently.

I have also picked up Our Dark Duet by V E Schwab, which has been my read-in-bed book, so I am only reading a bit every night. I am really enjoying it so far though.

Finally, I have been listening to Uncommon People by David Hepworth for a music-themed book club. It is a non-fiction book that has a chapter on one rockstar per year from 1955 till 1995. I love the way this is written. I am learning a lot about all these people I am familiar with, but do not know that much about. It starts with Little Richard and ends with Kurt Cobain. So far I am loving this one!

I have a couple of books on pause at the moment that I will dive back into shortly!

Bryson, Bill - A Walk In The WoodsWhat did I recently finish reading?

I think I only finished A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson since last week Wednesday. I enjoyed that one well enough.

What do I think I will read next?

I am not sure yet. I will probably read something lighter after Wolf Hall. I also have a couple of poetry collections I would like to get to.
