WWW Wednesdays: 17 November 2021

I had a bit of a book hangover this week, but fingers crossed it has passed!

WWW Wednesdays’ home is at Sam’s blog Taking On A World of Words. Check it out!

The three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you will read next?

What am I currently reading?

Well, technically only one book, which is Autumn: An Anthologyfor the Changing Seasons, edited by Melissa Harrison. I finished my main read today and my audio book yesterday and I have already primed the new books, which will be Noor by by Nnedi Okorafor and on audio I will be starting Leap of Faith by jockey Frankie Dettori. I used to be really into horse racing when I was younger, even if I no longer really follow it. I always liked Frankie Dettori’s personality and I read so many music memoirs that I figured it would be nice to read one to do with sport and horses. Besides, I got given a signed copy, which is nice! Unfortunately it is not read by Frankie himself, so I won’t get to enjoy his peculiar Italian accent…

What did I recently finish reading?

I finished The House in the Cerulean Sea by T J Klune today. I enjoyed it fine, but I was a bit disappointed simply because everyone seems to love it so much. I can’t quit see what the fuss is about to be honest.

Yesterday I finished listening to Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner. That one I expected to like, but I actually liked it quite a bit! It’s an honest memoir of grief, but I never found it too sentimental or heavy.

What will I be reading next?

No idea, since I am only just about to start two books!
